last night i dreamt i was drowning, really slowly. not a very interesting dream really, just me, an insane amount of water, and air about 2 meters away, but i'm going to tell you about it anyway: while i knew i was drowning, and i knew that this was it, that i was never going to get another chance, that all the things i'd never done were going to remain un-done, yet this didn't worry me nearly as much as i now think it should have. i even remember saying to myself: "no matter how much stuff you'd of end up doing there'll always be an infinite number of things you haven't done, and, as you learnt in high-school algebra, any finite number compared to infinity is indistinguishable from 0." wow, that would have been a really depressing final thought. fortunately that wasn't the last thing i thought. the last thing to go through my head, my final, if unspoken, contribution to humanity, was: "where are all the damn fish?"

then i woke up, it was 4am and i couldn't fall back to sleep. i think i scared søren, or, more likely, he just hoped it was walk time. either way, he got a walk and i got my day off to an early start...
